Cachet is a Japanese startup that operates exclusively with Bitcoin.
It\u2019s a small team of just three people, but we\u2019re dedicated to making Bitcoin payments convenient anywhere in the world.<\/p>

I personally value Bitcoin as a store of value\u2014it\u2019s something I genuinely love. But at the same time, I believe Bitcoin truly shines when it\u2019s used as a payment method. For instance, when traveling abroad or shopping on international e-commerce sites, you often face issues with credit card payments being blocked. It\u2019s such a hassle, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started Cachet because I wanted to solve those problems and focus on making payments easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before COVID-19, I used to pay with cash (physical banknotes) when traveling, but now I almost never use cash anymore. I strongly prefer electronic payments, but when you go abroad, you still often need paper money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t really like exchanging currencies\u2014converting Japanese yen into foreign currencies\u2014because you lose money to fees on both ends. I have a pile of leftover foreign currency at home, like stray dollar bills that I can\u2019t really use or throw away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That makes sense!
I\u2019ve never traveled abroad, so I hadn\u2019t thought about leftover foreign currency before, but now it totally makes sense.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

It works the other way around too, doesn\u2019t it?
Yes, absolutely. Foreign visitors often leave Japan with leftover yen. This \u201cdormant money,\u201d so to speak, just sits at home unused. There\u2019s a lot of that out there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe Bitcoin could be one way to solve these issues. That\u2019s one of the reasons I decided to start a Bitcoin-focused company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
